 ... her skirt, that is.   Judging from the hairdo and style of panties, I'd say this extraordinary photo is from the 1920s.  It is available at the French DelCampe auction site:

The dancer is not identified.  She looks a little like Ayn Rand, except she is smiling. ;-)
