Nikita Krushchev, Knicker Inspector

Another photo of Nikita Krushchev's famous Hollywood visit during the filming of "Can-Can".  The dancers are showing off their semi-transparent black bloomers that were and are the bane of purists who were anticipating something much better from a once-in-fifty-years filming of the musical.  This is from:

The Chairman, who seems to be a keen observer of this scene, observed philosophically, "The face of humanity is prettier than its backside."

Depends on what face humanity happens to be showing at the time and the particular backside, I think.
